news flash

sooooo, i've got some news .... Tom and i are engaged. it happened about two weeks ago when we were up at my cottage. we're planning a small wedding for next summer in the 1000 islands. hopefully all will go according to plan and i'll finish my masters in July, get married in August, and then move to the Bahamas for 4 years (no joke). Tom just got a job as the executive director of a geological field station on an tiny, rural island in the Bahamas. he starts this November, and i'll join him after the wedding. not a bad extended honeymoon, but i'll be crazy busy this next 12 months with finishing my research/coursework while planning a wedding from long distance. i'm stressing already, but i'm also very very happy and excited.
