Nittany Lions vs. Ohio Buckeyes

Today is October 8th, which means it's time for Penn State (Ranked 16; 5-0) vs. Ohio State (Ranked 6; 3-1) at 7:45pm. This is a big game, as Penn Sate hasn't been ranked in a couple of years, let alone 5-0 opening up the season. Today, 107,282 people will pack Beaver Stadium, making State College the 3rd most populous city in PA, after Philly and Pittsburgh, respectively.

Students camp outside Beaver Stadium in "Paternoville" for the best seats in the house.

While Emily and I won't be able to attend the game (tickets are going for $150 to $300 a pop), we will be watching with friends at a local bar; with a game this big, you need to surround your self with fans, as sitting at home just won't do. Here's hoping for the best for the Nittany Lions!

The Nittany Lion

"Every college has a legend, passed on from year to year,
To which they pledge allegiance, and always cherish dear.
But of all the honored idols, there’s but one that stands the test,
It’s the stately Nittany Lion, the symbol of our best.

HAIL! to the Lion, loyal and true.
HAIL! Alma Mater, with your white and blue.
PENN STATE forever, molder of men,
FIGHT! for her honor—FIGHT!—and victory again.

Indiana has its Hoosiers,
Purdue its gold and black.
The Wildcats from Northwestern
and Spartans on attack.
Ohio State has its Buckeyes,
Up north, The Wolverines.
But those Mighty Nittany Lions,
The best they’ve ever seen.

HAIL! to the Lion, loyal and true.
HAIL! Alma Mater, with your white and blue.
PENN STATE forever, molder of men,
FIGHT! for her honor—FIGHT!—and victory again."

Go, State! Beat, Ohio!
